Today, I conferred upon Dr. Abdu Muwonge Sierra Leone’s distinguished national honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Rokel (GCOR), in recognition of his exemplary service and the successful completion of his tenure as World Bank Country Manager for Sierra Leone. Dr. Muwonge has been more than a friend to Sierra Leone; he has been an exceptional development partner whose dedication and contribution extended far beyond the call of duty. I extend my heartfelt appreciation for his service and wish him every success in his next assignment.

Over the years, my administration has made decisive and substantial progress in fulfilling the objectives outlined in our Big Five Game Changer Agenda. I highlighted these achievements at the State Opening of the Fourth Session of the Sixth Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

I highlighted the significant progress we have achieved across various sectors at today's State Opening of the fourth session of the sixth Parliament of the second Republic of Sierra Leone. As a government, we have made remarkable advances, and we will continue to build on these gains to definitively advance our Big Five Game Changer Agenda.

Today, I received the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone’s 2025 Annual Report and recognize its successful fulfillment of its core mandate. I urge the Commission to actively collaborate with all stakeholders to protect its independence and maintain the integrity of electoral processes.
