Aleppo, Sept. 21 (SANA)Four people were injured, according to a preliminary toll, in explosions early Monday in the al-Hadaba area west of al-Eis insouthern Aleppocountryside, whileCivil Defense teamsevacuated nearby homes and closed roads leading to the site.

SANA reporter said that an explosion occurred at a site belonging to theSyrian Arab Armynear the town, adding that authorities were investigating the nature of the incident.

Faisal Mohammad Ali, commander of Aleppo operations at the Directorate ofEmergency and DisasterManagement, said continuing explosions initially prevented ambulance and rescue teams from reaching the site. Civil Defense teams later entered the area and evacuated four injured people, while teams continued evacuating nearby homes and closing roads.

Aleppo’s Internal Security Forcesplaced personnel on alert and closed the Aleppo-Damascus highway and roads leading to the site as a precaution.

Aleppo GovernorAzzam al-Ghariburged residents to remain in their homes and avoid approaching or gathering near the site. He said hospitals, ambulances and emergency services were on standby and called on residents to rely on official information and avoid circulating unconfirmed reports.

The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management warned residents in al-Eis and surrounding areas of the Aleppo countryside against approaching the site due to the risk of shrapnel, unexploded ordnance and other hazardous objects.

The ministry’s Early Warning and Preparedness Department advised residents to move to a safe area when possible without putting themselves at risk, keep roads leading to the site clear for emergency teams, and shelter inside buildings if they cannot leave safely. It urged residents to stay away from windows, doors, glass, rooftops and exposed areas.

The ministry stressed that the end of the explosions does not necessarily mean the danger has passed, as unexploded ordnance and other hazardous objects may remain in the area.Residentswere urged not to return to evacuated areas until authorities declare them safe.
