His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended warmest felicitations and heartiest congratulations to the President, the Rt Honourable Ramachandra Paudel, and the Prime Minister, the Rt Honourable Balendra Shah, of Nepal, on the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day, celebrated on 19 September 2026.

In separate letters sent on Saturday, the President highlighted the longstanding bonds of friendship between the two countries, founded on mutual respect and shared aspirations for peace, stability, and people-to-people connections, and expressed confidence that these close and enduring ties will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.

He affirmed the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and collaboration across various sectors, and expressed hope for deepening engagement in areas of mutual interest, both bilaterally and through regional and multilateral fora, for the mutual development and benefit of both countries and peoples.

The President concluded both letters with sincere wishes for the good health and well-being of both leaders, and for the continued peace, unity, and prosperity of Nepal.
