Colombians, our government approved the capitalization of the Pacific distribution company, known as Dispac, for an amount of up to 20.2 billion pesos. Let's begin. The president of Espella responds to a region that today more than ever needs the full support of the State. As you know, on August 10th a strong earthquake shook the department of Chocó. Since that moment, this government has been in motion and today another decisive step was taken . The capitalization of the Pacific distribution company , known as Dispac, was approved for an amount of up to 20,000 12 million pesos. What does this mean? In simple terms, it means that the Colombian state is injecting fresh resources into the company that provides electricity service in the department of Chocó so that no household in Chocó is left without power and, most importantly, without any changes to the rates . ISPAC had been facing financial difficulties for several years, but the earthquake aggravated the situation to the point of jeopardizing the very operation of the company. The government could not stand idly by, and it did not. The Minister of Finance, Miguel Gómez Martínez, stated it very clearly. This capitalization is a sign that the government is on the side of the earthquake victims. We will not leave the Colombians of Chocó alone. We will ensure that energy continues to reach your homes while the territory recovers. And it's not the only measure. This capitalization adds to previous actions such as the injection of 1.5 trillion pesos into the energy sector and the authorization of credit resources for more than 4.4 billion pesos for Dispack itself. The Minister of Mines and Energy, Dr. María Noemí Arboleda, has stated that the financial stability of the electricity sector is one of the priorities of her administration and this decision goes exactly in that direction, strengthening those who provide the service in the territories badly affected by the current situation in the country. Colombians, the message is clear. The government is present; wherever there is an affected community, the State is there. We will spare no resources or effort when it comes to the well-being of Colombians. Chocó is rising up, and it is doing so with the support of all Colombians.
