Tashkent, Sept. 19 (SANA)ASyrian economicdelegation, including representatives from theMinistry of Economy and Industryand the Federation of Chambers of Industry and Commerce, examined the experience ofUzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry during its current visit.

The delegation focused on the chamber’s role in providing services and tools to support businesses, enhance companies’ access to foreign markets, promote products, and build trade and investment partnerships.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry, the delegation was briefed on mechanisms for offering consultations, export support services, and information about companies and trade opportunities. They also explored the chamber’s use of electronic platforms that allow producers and exporters to showcase their products and capabilities to reach international buyers.

The Syrian delegation reviewed Uzbekistan’s export model, which includes data on more than 900 exporting institutions across eight key sectors, forming a comprehensive database that connects companies and products with potential buyers and partners.

The visit follows the arrival of Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar in Uzbekistan on Thursday, heading the delegation to discuss expanding trade, industrial, and investment cooperation.

On Friday, Al-Shaar and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint economic and trade committee. The agreement provides a framework for regular follow-up on economic relations, exchange of information, exploration of business opportunities, and addressing challenges to strengthen bilateral partnerships.

The delegation’s mission reflects efforts to deepen economic cooperation between Syria and Uzbekistan, exchange expertise in supporting business communities, and pave the way for direct partnerships between Syrian and Uzbek companies.
