Tashkent, Sept. 19 (SANA)The Uzbek-Syrian Business Forum convened in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent on Saturday, with participation from a Syrian Ministry of Economy and Industry delegation alongside government officials and business sector representatives from both nations.

The forum focused on evaluating economic, commercial, andinvestment cooperationwhile reviewing potential joint ventures between Syrian and Uzbek companies.

Syria’sMinistry of Economy and Industryannounced via Telegram that discussions centered on launching joint projects, expanding trade exchange, and establishing direct channels between business leaders to foster partnerships across manufacturing, trade, investment, and technology transfer.

As a key outcome, participants agreed to form the Syrian-Uzbek Business Council to serve as a permanent platform for coordinating communication between the two business communities and translating economic talks into practical projects.

The forum follows the arrival of Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar in Uzbekistan on Thursday. On Friday, Al-Shaar and Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a joint economic and trade committee to manage bilateraleconomic relationsand address trade challenges.
