Berlin, Sept. 19 (SANA)Syria’s chargé d’affaires inBerlin, MohammadBaraa Shukri, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation and coordination with Belgian Ambassador to GermanyPiet Heirbauton Saturday.

The Syrian Embassy in Berlin said in a post on X that the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views onSyrian-European relations.They also discussed prospects for expanding communication and coordination between the two diplomatic missions.

The meeting comes amid developing Syrian-European relations, particularly after the Council of the European Union announced in May the full reactivation of the EU-Syria Cooperation Agreement following its decision to end the partial suspension imposed in 2011.
