Economy Minister announces Syrian-Uzbek Business Council

Damascus, Sept. 19 (SANA)Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar issued a decision on Saturday forming the Syrian side of the Syrian-Uzbek Business Council, as part of efforts to organize joint business councils.

Under the decision, Ahmad Anas Kalash was appointed Chairman of the Council, with Abdul Ghani Mohammad Imad al-Hamad and Mohammad Hussam al-Maleh as Vice Chairmen, Mohammad Louay Sukkar as Secretary, Mohammad Amer Mohammad Rankousi as Executive Director, and Kamel Sabbagh Sharbati as Director of Public Relations.

The decision stipulates that the council shall operate in compliance with the bylaws of joint Syrian business councils and the procedural guide issued by theSyrian Business Councils Boardfor Coordinating Joint Business Councils.

The resolution designated theSyrian-Uzbek Business Councilas the sole accredited body representing Syria in economic relations withUzbekistan, under the regulations of theMinistry of Economy and Industry.

The Syrian Business Councils Board was tasked with monitoring the council’s operations and ensuring alignment with national economic priorities.

On Sept. 7, the Ministry of Economy and Industry formed the Syrian-Ukrainian Business Council to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Syria and Ukraine.
