Gaza death toll rises to 73,910, health authorities say
Gaza, Sept. 19 (SANA)The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023 has risen to 73,910, while 174,914 people have been injured, according to medical sources cited by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Health authorities said hospitals across the Strip received four fatalities and 17 injured Palestinians over the past 48 hours.
Since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 11, 2025, 1,390 Palestinians have been killed and 4,801 injured, while the bodies of 831 people have been recovered, according to the same sources.
The latest cumulative toll also includes 85 deaths added after authorities completed and verified their records following the previous update on Sept. 5.
Medical sources said an unspecified number of victims remain under rubble and on roads, with ambulance and rescue crews continuing to face difficulties reaching them.
The figures are reported by Gaza health authorities. AP reported earlier this week that the overall Palestinian death toll had surpassed 73,000 amid continued Israeli strikes despite the 2025 ceasefire.
