ЖамиятUzbekistan’s judges to join SIFoCC Global Forum09:51 / 19.09.2026
During the meeting, Judge Robin Knowles, responsible for the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts, and Adenike Adewale, Head of the organization’s secretariat, were briefed on the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan’s judicial and legal system, in particular, the objectives defined in the Justice 2030 Strategy, approved by the Presidential Decree.
The Strategy reflects priority tasks for implementing advanced international human rights standards in national judicial practice and increasing Uzbekistan’s authority in the international arena.
Particular emphasis is on strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan’s judicial authorities and the judicial communities of foreign countries. This includes improving collaboration with major international and regional organizations and ensuring Uzbekistan’s active participation in their governing bodies and related structures.
Stating that Uzbekistan has the necessary legal and institutional conditions to join the forum as a full member, R. Makhmudova proposed initiating a process to establish dialogue in this direction and ensuring Uzbek judges’ participation in the organization’s events.
SIFoCC representatives supported these proposals and reaffirmed their readiness for ongoing, substantive engagement with Uzbekistan.
