Aden, Sept. 19 (SANA)Houthi commanderFaraq Mohsen al-Assar and six of his companions were killed on the Kahbub front near the Bab al-Mandab Strait insouthwestern Yemen, a Yemeni official said Saturday.

Yemeni Deputy Information MinisterAbdulbasit al-Qaedi said in a post on X that Houthi commander Faraq Mohsen al-Assar was killed along with six of his companions on the Kahbub front nearBab al-Mandab.

Yemeni forces said Friday that they had killed a number ofHouthi fightersand destroyed nine of their military vehicles in operations targeting Houthi positions on fronts inMarib province.
