The Government CAPEX Update
Just want to update you on the capital expenditure. Grange Lane is finished. We're now doing Brighton Hill Shaman Road. That's from Naggo Head to Hellsure. And we're also going to be doing this year Arthur Wint Drive, which is where Bustamante Hospital for Children is. And also Camp Road. We're supposed to do South Camp Road come, but we're being very cautious with that because if we shut down Arthur Wint, Tom Redcam, and Camp Road at the same time while shutting down Oxford Road and the other side, which we plan to do, we may have chaos. Prime Minister keeps saying to me and I keep saying to NWA that if anything should happen and a child is delayed going to Bustamante by 1 minute by a tractor, it won't be the tractor that gets the blame. It would have been be the Minister of Works. So, we're being very cautious and we have asked NWA for a plan as to how we're going to keep the hospital open, keep access to the hospital free while at the same time do a major upgrade on Arthur Wint. The new Portmore access by Mandela Highway is also being worked on to be submitted to PIMs. So, should you give you a general overview of what we're planning to do over the next 3 years? We're going to be doing Half Way Tree roundabout all the way to Mountain View. We're going to be doing South Camp Road. Going to be doing Arthur Wint. We're going to be doing Tom Redcam. And this is just on the eastern side. We're going to be doing Oxford Road from NCB going all the way to Half Way Tree Road. Going to be doing Molynes Road. We're going to be doing from 6 Miles going all the way to East Kings House Road. We're going to be doing East Kings House Road and Lady Musgrave. And this has to be done in 3 years. One because the SPARK program expires in the last quarter of 2028. And we we have a contractual obligation that the roads need to be executed on time within the contract.
