This large complex was established under the Presidential Resolution of June 28, 2024, to support the poultry industry. The project costs $7.8 million. With the launch of the enterprise, which occupies 21 hectares, 70 residents received permanent jobs.
The enterprise’s high production capacity allows it to keep up to 200,000 chickens at a time. Currently, it raises 130,000 chickens. The enterprise contributes 4.8 billion UZS in budget revenues, making a significant contribution to the district’s economic development.
The complex produces 27.5 million hatching eggs annually. These are then marketed as chickens and day-old chicks.
It was noted that establishing such a modern complex in Kegeyli is a positive achievement. It was emphasized that projects of this kind are important not only for reducing production costs but also for ensuring the region’s food security.
To provide the poultry with high-quality feed, the enterprise has established its own production facilities. A separate plant with a capacity of 100 tons of compound feed per day has been built here. All production processes are fully automated.
Previously, other regions of the country supplied chicken meat and eggs to Karakalpakstan. This enterprise not only meets the Aral Sea region’s demand for these products but also exports them abroad.
By September this year, the company had exported products worth $1.1 million to Afghanistan. By the end of the year, exports are planned to increase to $1.5 million.
By the end of this year, another poultry farm covering 8.5 hectares and valued at $5 million is planned for commissioning. Implementing this project will create new jobs and increase production volumes.
The President emphasized that, in the future, such complexes should develop into large poultry operations and contribute to creating not only new but also well-paying jobs. He gave the responsible officials relevant instructions.
