Daraa, Sept. 18 (SANA)Internal Security Forces inDaraaprovince identified a cell responsible for the martyrdom of three of their personnel inal-Sanamaynand seized weapons, ammunition and explosive-making equipment, a security official said Thursday.

Daraa Internal SecurityCommander Brig. Gen. Hussam al-Tahan told SANA that the cell was identified following surveillance and pursuit operations.

The investigation found that Mohsen al-Haimad and Ahmad al-Othman, known as “al-Kashki,” led the cell, al-Tahan said.

Security forces searching the two men’s homes seized weapons, ammunition, explosive devices ready for detonation and equipment used to manufacture explosives, he added.

Al-Tahan said security forces would continue pursuing the remaining members of the cell until all those involved were arrested and referred to the competent judiciary.

Three Internal Security Forces personnel were martyred and others wounded earlier Thursday when an outlawed armed group targeted their patrol in al-Sanamayn as it was carrying out an operation to arrest a wanted person.
