Latakia, Sep. 18 (SANA)Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassanal-Shaibaniconducted a field tour of Latakia International Airport, accompanied by Chief of the General Staff Maj. Gen. Alial-Naasan, Air Force Commander Brig. Gen. Assem Hawari, Naval Forces Commander Brig. Gen. Mohammad al-Saud and Military Intelligence Chief Brig. Gen. Hamza al-Humaidi.

Al-Shaibani also held a meeting with a number of officials from theRussian Federationto follow up on implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides and review progress in carrying out the agreed-upon steps.

Earlier on August 9, al-Shaibani toured Latakia International Airport and Tartous Port following a landmark agreement between Syria and Russia to reorganize Moscow’s presence on the Syrian coast.
