A proposal for the Act on the Public Fund for Advanced Treatment of Rare Diseaseswas adopted; it will be presented in more detail by the Ministry of Health. The proposal gives parents of children with rare diseases greater certainty that their children will have timely access to the most advanced treatments, including when these are not yet covered by regular health insurance funding.

The amendment to the Decree on the setting of prices for certain petroleum productswill help ease pressure on retail fuel prices. The measure will have a positive impact on both households and the economy. Lower retail prices mean a lower burden on households when purchasing fuel and lower fuel costs for businesses. At the same time, lower retail prices will ease inflationary pressures and reduce households' transport costs. The Government has also extended the zero contribution for energy-efficiency on fuels until 15 December 2026. The measure applies to petrol, diesel and extra light heating oil.

Under theFinancial Instruments Implementation Plan for the 2021–2027 programming period, the Government is focusing on areas with the greatest financing needs, including research, development and innovation, small and medium-sized enterprises, energy efficiency, the circular economy and urban development. This will support investment, development and the competitiveness of the economy.

Twelve new projects have been included in theDevelopment Programmes Plan. The projects will increase investment in science, innovation and the development of new technologies. They enable researchers to participate in international projects in the field of quantum technologies and help businesses expand production, embrace digitalisation and develop new products. They also promote the establishment of new companies and the creation and preservation of jobs. This contributes to a stronger and more competitive economy, particularly in border areas.

With regard to security measures, the Government has responded to the Supreme Court's request for a constitutional review of theAct Determining Emergency Measures to Ensure Public Security.The current arrangement is not appropriate, as reclassifying theft as a minor offence has not achieved its intended purpose. The Government will therefore prepare amendments to restore theft to the category of criminal offences, rather than leaving some forms of theft classified as minor offences, as is currently the case.

The Government also discussedworking-from-home arrangements for public-sector employees.The 2022 decision introducing a hybrid working model in the public administration has been revoked. For public-sector employees working in state administration bodies, the legal basis for working from home is provided by the Employment Relationships Act.

The Government appointed its representatives to the council of the public institution Museum of Slovenian Independence. They are Jelko Kacin, Tomaž Kladnik, Jože Možina, Igor Omerza, Rosvita Pesek and Andreja Valič Zver. The Government supports the proposal for the Act amending the Act on the Coat-of-arms, the Flag and the Anthem of the Republic of Slovenia and on the Flag of the Slovene Nation. Public authorities' premises should primarily reflect the constitutional and legal order of the Republic of Slovenia and represent the institutions of the state, local communities and other entities governed by public law, rather than the views of individual office-holders or heads of institutions.

A new Acting Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia has been appointed.Economist Tomaž Perše has been appointed to the post. He has more than 25 years of experience in public finance, taxation and economic policy. He has held managerial and professional positions at the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Administration of the Republic of Slovenia and the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, where he also served as acting Director General of the Tax Administration and as Deputy Director General. Since March 2017, he has been a member of the Fiscal Council, and from 2020 to 2025 he also served as an adviser to the Director General of the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.
