Two die in traffic accidents as Civil Defense responds to 100 fires across Syria
Damascus, Sept. 18 (SANA)Two people died and 22 others were injured in 27 traffic accidents across several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours, theSyrian Civil Defensesaid Friday.
Civil Defense teams provided first aid to the injured, transported them to hospitals and secured the accident sites.
The teams also responded to 100fires, including three in fields and agricultural crops. Other fires affected homes, shops, grass, trees, garbage and electrical wiring.
All fires were extinguished, with no injuries reported. Damage was limited to property, the Civil Defense said.
The Civil Defense urged drivers to reduce speed, check their vehicles and avoid distractions such as mobile phone use.
It also warned against lighting fires in forests and agricultural areas, discarding cigarette butts or glass near crops and burning dry grass around homes and roads.
The previous day, one person died and 17 others were injured in 92 fires andtraffic accidentsacross Syria, according to the Civil Defense.
