Arab League condemns Taif drone attack, expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia
Cairo, Sept. 18 (SANA)The Arab League on Friday condemned a Houthi militia drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s Taif Governorate, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and warning that continued attacks on its territory could heighten regional tensions.
In a statement posted on X by its secretary-general, theArab Leaguestrongly condemned the Houthi militia drone attack on Taif, reiterated its rejection of such attacks and called for an immediate halt.
It said Saudi Arabia’s security and stability were an integral part of Arab national security.
The league expressed full solidarity withSaudi Arabiaand its support for the Kingdom in confronting such threats, extending condolences to the family of the person killed in the incident, as well as to the Saudi government and people, and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense said on Thursday that one person was killed and two others were injured after debris from a drone launched by the Houthi militia fell in Taif Governorate following its interception and destruction by Saudi forces.FJ/ABD
