ආයතනික රැකවරණයෙන් ඉවත්ව සමාජගත වන පුරවැසියන් සඳහා නිවාස පහසුකම් සලසා දීමේ අරමුණින් ක්රියාත්මක “දිවියට සවියක්” නිවාස ආධාර වැඩසටහනේ සමාරම්භක අවස්ථාවට අද (17) පස්වරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී එක්වීමි. දරුවන් යනු ජාතියේ නිධානය බවත්, ඔවුන්ගේ ජීවිත සුරක්ෂිත කිරීම වගකිව යුතු රජයක ප්රමුඛ කාර්යයක් බවත් මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළෙමි. 2026 අයවැයෙන් වෙන් කරන ලද ප්රතිපාදන මගින් ක්රියාත්මක “දිවියට සවියක්” නිවාස ආධාර වැඩසටහන යටතේ ළමා සංවර්ධන මධ්යස්ථානවල සිට සමාජ ගත වූ වයස අවුරුදු දහඅටට වැඩි තරුණ තරුණියන් සඳහා නිවාස ඉදිකිරීමට රුපියල් ලක්ෂ විස්සක ආධාරයක් පිරිනමනු ලබයි. එහි බස්නාහිර පළාතේ ප්රතිලාභීන් සඳහා ප්රතිලාභ පිරිනැමීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබීම පිළිබඳ සතුටු වෙමින්, කාන්තා සහ ළමා කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශය සහ පරිවාස හා ළමා රක්ෂණ සේවා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව ඇතුළු මෙම මහඟු කර්තව්යය වෙනුවෙන් කැප වී කටයුතු කරන සියලුදෙනා ඇගයීමටද එය අවස්ථාවක් කර ගතිමි. காப்பகங்களின் பராமரிப்பிலிருந்து சமூகமயப்படுத்தப்படும் பிரஜைகளுக்கு வீட்டு வசதிகள் வழங்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும் “வாழ்விற்கு பலம்” வீட்டு உதவித் திட்டத்தின் ஆரம்ப நிகழ்வில் இன்று (17) பிற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டேன். சிறுவர்கள் என்பவர்கள் நாட்டின் பொக்கிஷம் என்றும், அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையைப் பாதுகாப்பது பொறுப்புள்ள அரசாங்கத்தின் முதன்மைக் கடமை என்பதையும் இங்கு வலியுறுத்தினேன். 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரவு செலவுத் திட்டத்தில் ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட நிதி ஒதுக்கீடுகளின் மூலம் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும் “வாழ்விற்கு பலம்” வீட்டு உதவித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், சிறுவர் பராமரிப்பு நிலையங்களிலிருந்து சமூகமயப்படுத்தப்பட்ட பதினெட்டு வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்ட இளைஞர் யுவதிகளுக்கு வீடுகளை நிர்மாணிப்பதற்காக இருபது இலட்சம் ரூபா உதவித்தொகை வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அதில், மேல் மாகாணத்திற்கான பயனாளிகளுக்கு உதவிகளை வழங்க வாய்ப்புக் கிடைத்தமை குறித்து மகிழ்ச்சியடைவதுடன், மகளிர் மற்றும் சிறுவர் அலுவல்கள் அமைச்சு, நன்னடத்தை மற்றும் சிறுவர் பாதுகாப்பு சேவைகள் திணைக்களம் உள்ளிட்ட இந்த சிறப்பான பணிக்காக அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயற்படும் அனைவரையும் இச்சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் பாராட்டினேன். I participated in the launch of the “Diviyata Saviyak” Housing Assistance Programme at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (17), which aims to provide housing facilities for citizens transitioning into society after leaving institutional care. I emphasised that children are the nation’s most valuable asset and that safeguarding their lives is a foremost responsibility of a responsible Government. Under the “Diviyata Saviyak” Housing Assistance Programme, implemented with allocations made through the 2026 Budget, a grant of Rs. 2 million will be provided to young men and women over the age of 18 who have transitioned into society from Child Development Centres, to support the construction of homes. I was pleased to have the opportunity to present benefits to beneficiaries from the Western Province and also took the opportunity to commend all those dedicated to this important endeavour, including the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and the Department of Probation and Child Care Services.
