The ongoing construction of 600 modern markets is unprecedented in our country and no other administration has built this kind of infrastructure since our independence in 1963.

We are building the markets because we promised Mama Mboga and other traders that we would provide decent and dignified spaces for them to work from.

In Homa Bay County alone, we are investing KSh3.5 billion in 21 new modern markets.
