Of course, we very much want to build mil-tech cooperation between Ukraine and Japan. G2G, but also B2B, as now more than 70% of the defense industry in Ukraine is in the private sector. I think we can increase our trade turnover, especially if we focus on the defense-industrial base.
I do know there are differences between our legal systems. But in my view, when we speak about defense, there are no neutral nations. Sometimes, you don’t even have a big army, but you need a big defense sector, because it is about sea monitoring, intelligence and demining drones, and, of course, air defense and cybersecurity, as well as food security.
I think that we can be useful to each other. We wanted to have a Drone Deal with Japan. Perhaps you will need some defensive equipment. This is, of course, up to Japan to decide. Again, we are thankful for all the support.
