Damascus, Sept. 17 (SANA)TheIMAR 2026 international reconstructionexhibition concluded in Damascus on Wednesday after generating 3,200 contracts worth more than $1.756 billion during the four-day event, organizer Effect Plus said.

The company said in a statement received by SANA that 412 memorandums of understanding were signed by local, Arab and international companies and institutions during thesecond edition of the exhibition.

The agreements covered construction, infrastructure, industry and services, with several large projects announced during the event.

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Rawaf Contracting Co. signed a $300 million contract for roads and infrastructure, while Al-Hassan Holding Group and Al-Jouf Cement signed cement supply contracts worth $72 million, according to the statement.

Advanced Technical Systems Co. signed a $15 million contract for a water purification and pumping station project.

Thara Real Estate DevelopmentCo. signed supply contracts with infrastructure, construction materials and finishing suppliers for its Sham View residential project in Damascus.

Effect Plus said the agreement between Al-Hassan Holding Group and Al-Jouf Cement was ready to move into implementation, making it one of the first projects announced at the exhibition to advance from agreement to implementation.

The organizer described the number and value of the agreements as evidence of growing local, regional and international interest in investment opportunities in Syria.

Theexhibitionopened Sunday with 356 companies from 27 countries participating. It focused on projects and investment opportunities linked to Syria’s reconstruction, particularly in the energy, industry, construction and infrastructure sectors.

IMAR 2026 was organized by Effect Plus forExhibitions and Conferencesunder the patronage of theministries of Economy and Industry, Tourism, and Local Administration and Environment, along with theSyrian Investment Agency, the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and joint Syrian business councils.
