An exhibition held in Lianyungang showcased digital approaches to policing, artificial intelligence technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other technological innovations.

The delegation exchanged views with local specialists on the capabilities of smart systems, prospects for introducing them into Uzbekistan’s internal affairs bodies, and the results achieved in ensuring public safety.

As part of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, an international conference on international cooperation in police education was held. It brought together the heads of about 50 specialized higher education institutions and more than 200 experts, specialists, and representatives of international organizations from China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam, and other countries.

At the conference, Rustam Khotamov, Head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presented a report on “Education and technological innovation: improving the quality and effectiveness of law enforcement training”, highlighting key challenges emerging from globalization.

According to the speaker, amid geopolitical changes worldwide, new threats to security and stability are emerging. In this context, one pressing issue is introducing new working methods into law enforcement activities and transforming personnel training processes to meet contemporary requirements. The Head of the Academy highlighted the work of Uzbekistan’s internal affairs system and discussed modern training approaches.

The conference presented key proposals and initiatives to enhance international collaboration in police education, foster innovative methods, strengthen partnerships among educational institutions, and upgrade personnel training and retraining systems.

The delegations also held meetings during the international forum. The Head of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs met with the President of the People’s Public Security University of China and the heads of the INTERPOL Global Academy and the Hong Kong Police College. The parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations.
