මුලතිව් දිස්ත්රික් මහ රෝහලේ නව සිව්මහල් වෛද්ය වාට්ටු සංකීර්ණයේ ඉදිකිරීම් ආරම්භ කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට අද (16) පස්වරුවේ එක්වීමි. මුලතිව් දිස්ත්රික් මහ රෝහලේ දැනට පවතින රෝගී තදබදය අවම කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් ඉන්දීය රජයේ ආධාර යටතේ ඉදිකෙරෙන මෙම ගොඩනැගිල්ල සඳහා වැය කෙරෙන මුළු මුදල රුපියල් මිලියන 600කි. බෝ නොවන රෝග (NCD) හේතුවෙන් මුලතිව් දිස්ත්රික්කයේ සිදුවන මරණ අවම කිරීමට සහ වයස අවුරුදු 35ට වැඩි පුද්ගලයින් බෝ නොවන රෝග පිළිබඳ පරීක්ෂාවට ලක් කිරීමේ වේගය සැලකිය යුතු ලෙස වැඩි කිරීමටද මෙම නව වාට්ටු සංකීර්ණය උපයෝගී වනු ඇත. මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය මුලතිව් දිස්ත්රික්කයේ සෞඛ්ය සේවා සැපයීමේ ක්රියාවලිය බෙහෙවින් ශක්තිමත් කරන පියවරක් ලෙස අගයමින්, ඒ වෙනුවෙන් දායකත්වය ලබා දුන් ඉන්දීය අග්රාමාත්යවරයා ප්රමුඛ එම රජයටත්, ඉන්දීය ජනතාවටත් හෘදයාංගම ස්තූතිය පළ කළෙමි. එසේම, මෙම ව්යාපෘතිය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට කැප වූ සෞඛ්ය අමාත්යාංශය ඇතුළු සියලු පාර්ශ්ව වෙතද කෘතවේදීත්වය පළ කළෙමි. முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்ட பொது மருத்துவமனையின் புதிய நான்கு மாடி மருத்துவ வாட் (WARD) தொகுதியின் நிர்மாணப் பணிகளை ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கும் நிகழ்வில் இன்று (16) பிற்பகல் கலந்துகொண்டேன். முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்ட பொது மருத்துவமனையில் தற்போது நிலவும் நோயாளர் நெரிசலைக் குறைப்பதற்காக இந்திய அரசாங்கத்தின் நிதியுதவியுடன் நிர்மாணிக்கப்படும் இக் கட்டிடத்திற்காக செலவிடப்படும் மொத்தத் தொகை 600 மில்லியன் ரூபாவாகும். தொற்றா நோய்கள் (NCD) காரணமாக முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டத்தில் ஏற்படும் மரணங்களைக் குறைப்பதற்கும், 35 வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்ட நபர்களைத் தொற்றா நோய்கள் தொடர்பான பரிசோதனைக்கு உட்படுத்தும் வேகத்தை குறிப்பிடத்தக்க அளவு அதிகரிப்பதற்கும் இந்த புதிய வாட் தொகுதி பயன்படும். இந்தத் திட்டம் முல்லைத்தீவு மாவட்டத்தின் சுகாதாரச் சேவை வழங்கும் செயற்பாட்டை மிகவும் வலுப்படுத்தும் என்பதுடன், அதற்காக பங்களிப்பு வழங்கிய இந்தியப் பிரதமர் தலைமையிலான இந்திய அரசாங்கத்திற்கும், இந்திய மக்களுக்கும் எனது மனமார்ந்த நன்றிகளைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டேன். மேலும், இத்திட்டத்தின் வெற்றிக்காக அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயற்பட்ட சுகாதார அமைச்சு உட்பட அனைத்து தரப்பினர்களுக்கும் எனது நன்றிகளைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டேன். I joined the commencement of construction work on the new four-storey medical ward complex at the District General Hospital, Mullaitivu, this afternoon (16). The four-storey building, being constructed with assistance from the Government of India at a total cost of Rs. 600 million, will help reduce congestion at the District General Hospital, Mullaitivu. The new ward complex will also help reduce deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the Mullaitivu District and significantly increase NCD screening among people over 35 years of age. Recognising this project as a significant step towards strengthening the delivery of healthcare services in the Mullaitivu District, I expressed my heartfelt appreciation to the Prime Minister of India, the Government of India and the people of India for their contribution towards this initiative. I also expressed my gratitude to the Ministry of Health and all other parties who have been committed to the successful implementation of this project.
