Local Administration Ministry signs ERP contract with Saudi Ejad Tech

Damascus, Sep. 16 (SANA)The Ministry ofLocal Administrationand Environment signed on Wednesday a contract with Saudi company Ejad Tech at Cham Palace Hotel in Damascus to implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, marking a key step toward the implementation phase of the ministry’s institutionaldigital transformationproject.

The signing was attended by Minister of Local Administration and Environment MohammadAnjaraniand Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul SalamHaykal.

The project aims to develop the ministry’s institutional work environment through an integrated digital system covering human resources, financial systems, procurement, project and correspondence management, asset management, as well as complaints and requests.

The system is designed to standardize procedures and data, improve operational efficiency, support decision-making, and simplify services and administrative procedures.

In remarks during the signing ceremony, Anjarani said the contract is part of a series of steps being adopted by the ministry as it advances digital transformation based on accurate, up-to-date information.

He noted that the system would help shorten citizens’ transactions between offices and enable more precise monitoring of spending and resources.

The project will also introduce artificial intelligence tools, advanced analytics and smart workflow platforms to support institutional performance and improve service quality.
