On September 14, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam presented President Ilham Aliyev with the certificate of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.
President Ilham Aliyev was honored with the award in 2026 in recognition of his contributions to the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
In accordance with the terms of the award, the President of Azerbaijan is entitled to a monetary prize of USD 500,000.
President Ilham Aliyev directed that the full amount be transferred to the Garabagh Revival Fund.
