X @ZelenskyyUa
This week alone, Russia launched around 2,100 drones against Ukraine – a significant share of them jet-powered “shaheds,” which the Russians are using in an attempt to cripple the economy and destroy people’s lives. The enemy also used nearly 1,700 guided aerial bombs and 78 missiles of various types.
Last night and this morning, energy facilities, Ukrzaliznytsia, businesses, and ordinary residential buildings came under attack. Odesa was attacked with missiles and drones. Recovery efforts are ongoing in many western regions following the overnight strikes. In particular, all necessary services are working near the Polish-Ukrainian border in Volyn, where the Russians deliberately burned a train locomotive and damaged a gas station in a drone strike.
It is precisely to prevent these strikes from spreading further into Europe that Ukrainian men and women fight every day, give their lives, and do not allow the aggression to expand. Russian terrorism is a common threat to many, but it definitely can and must be defeated in Ukraine. Thank you to everyone contributing to the protection of Ukraine’s skies and supporting our people.
