9月9日にフィリピン共和国パラワン州で発生した旅客フェリーの火災事故において、多くの尊い命が失われたことに、深い悲しみを覚えております。

犠牲となられた方々に哀悼の誠を捧げるとともに、御遺族の皆様に謹んでお悔やみ申し上げます。

また、今なお行方不明の方々の一刻も早い捜索・救助がなされることを心より願っております。

I am deeply saddened by the loss of many precious lives caused by the passenger ferry fire accident occurred off the coast of Province of Palawan, the Republic of the Philippines, on September 9.

I express my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives and offer my sincere sympathies to their families.

I wish for the earliest possible search and rescue of those still missing.
