It was noted that the parliaments of the two countries play an important role in advancing the special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.

Interparliamentary friendship groups are actively involved, with regular exchanges of parliamentary delegations and effective experience-sharing between the relevant committees of the two countries’ legislative bodies.

With support from the National Assembly and the Korea International Cooperation Agency, the E-Parliament project is being implemented in both chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The need was emphasized to establish a cooperation mechanism to ensure parliamentary monitoring of the implementation of high-level agreements, primarily to expand trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian ties.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a series of parliamentary diplomacy events in 2027 to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
