Gaza war death toll reaches 73,789, Palestinian Health Ministry says
Occupied Jerusalem, Sept. 15 (SANA)The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,789, while the number of injured people has reached 174,798 since Oct. 7, 2023, according to figures released Tuesday by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The ministry said through its Telegram channel that hospitals across the Gaza Strip received three fatalities and 27 injured people over the past 24 hours.
It added that since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, a total of 1,375 people have been killed and 4,686 injured, according to its figures.
The ministry said that a number of victims remain under rubble and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams continue to face difficulties reaching them.
It added that the war has caused extensive destruction to homes and infrastructure and contributed to the deterioration of essential services in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid and materials needed for reconstruction have further affected humanitarian conditions in the territory.
The figures released Tuesday cover casualties recorded since Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.FJ/RK
