His Excellency Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef paid a courtesy call on The Honourable Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, at Niva Kurumba Maldives this morning.

The Vice President warmly welcomed the Prime Minister to the Maldives and reaffirmed the longstanding brotherly ties between the two nations. The two sides exchanged views on ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation, with particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration in tourism and higher education.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is currently on a State Visit to the Maldives at the invitation of His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
