Beijing, Sept. 14 (SANA)Oil pricesjumped more than $3 a barrel in early trading on Monday after fresh attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and vessels in the Gulf renewed concerns over disruptions to Middle East energy supplies.

Brent crudefutures rose $3.62, or 3.46%, to $108.23 a barrel by 2214 GMT on Sunday, Reuters reported.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures climbed $3.15, or 3.15%, to $103.20 a barrel.

The gains extended a sharp rally in oil markets, with prices rising about 13% last week as concerns mounted over supply disruptions in the Middle East and reduced crude flows through theStrait of Hormuz.

Before the outbreak of the war, about one-fifth of global oil supplies passed through the strategic waterway.
