Occupied Jerusalem, Sept. 14 (SANA)Israeli Culture Minister Miki Zohar threatened on Sunday to revoke the citizenship of filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor after theirGazadocumentary won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.

The film, “Naza,” features testimonies from Israeli soldiers about the killing ofPalestiniancivilians during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, including accounts of the use of artificial intelligence-supported systems in targeting operations.

Agence France-Presse reported that Abraham and Szor received the award on Saturday. The two had previously been among the directors of “No Other Land,” which won an Academy Award in 2025 and documented attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against Palestinians in theWest Bank.

Zohar’s threat followed criticism of the documentary’s content. He and far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir also attacked the filmmakers, accusing them of harming Israel and committing treason.

“Naza” draws on testimony from Israeli soldiers about military operations in Gaza and examines the mechanisms used to target civilians during the Israeli aggression on the Strip.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Israeli war since October 2023 has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured more than 174,000. The United Nations has said the ministry’s figures are reliable.
