Xavi Espart opened the scoring after five minutes, firing home from the edge of the box for his first senior goal, before Yamal doubledBarcelona’s advantage in the 19th minute after being set up by Raphinha.

Yamal made it 3-0 from the penalty spot shortly after halftime following a foul by Aissa Mandi, completing his third La Liga brace of the season.

Levantemounted a late comeback, with Ivan Romero scoring in the 79th minute before Roger Brugue struck nine minutes later to cut Barcelona’s lead to one goal.

Karim Adeyemi ended the hosts’ hopes of a comeback in stoppage time, scoring in the 93rd minute to seal Barcelona’s sixth consecutive victory in all competitions.

The result kept Barcelona alone at the top of La Liga with five wins from five matches, three points ahead of Real Madrid.

Elsewhere,Atletico Madridscored three late goals to beat Real Sociedad 3-0. Alejandro Grimaldo converted an 84th-minute penalty before Jonathan David doubled the lead six minutes later and Giuliano Simeone added a third in stoppage time.

Malaga drew 1-1 with Celta Vigo, while Deportivo A Coruna also played out a 1-1 draw with Getafe.
