South Korea condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, urges immediate halt
Seoul, Sept. 14 (SANA)South Korea on Monday condemned recentHouthi militiaattacks on civilian and economic facilities inSaudi Arabiathat caused civilian casualties, calling for an immediate end to the attacks.
“Attacks on civilians and civilian facilities, as well as acts that undermine the freedom and safety of navigation, cannot be justified under any circumstances,” theSouth KoreanForeign Ministry said in a statement carried by Yonhap News Agency.
The ministry urged the Houthi militia to halt the attacks immediately and refrain from actions that could further escalate tensions.
It said peace and stability in the Middle East, including free and safe navigation in the Red Sea, were vital to the international community because of their importance to global supply chains and energy security.
