Beirut, Sept. 14 (SANA)Israeli occupation forcescontinued attacks acrosssouthern Lebanonon Sunday, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling and demolition operations in several towns and villages, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported.Israeli warplanes struck Mansouri, the outskirts of Haris and an area between Mayfadoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiya, while artillery fire targeted Beit Yahoun and the Ali al-Taher forest on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, the agency said.Israeli forces also carried out two large explosions in Zawtar al-Sharqiya and Kounine in the Bint Jbeil district as demolition operations continued across parts of southern Lebanon.The attacks came a day after Israeli forces carried out explosions in Haddatha, Ainatha and their outskirts, with powerful blasts heard in neighboring villages.Lebanon and Israel reached a framework agreement on June 26 providing for the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from areas they had entered in southern Lebanon alongside the deployment of the Lebanese army. Continued Israeli attacks and demolition operations have hindered the army’s full deployment and the return of residents to their villages.
