Occupied Jerusalem, Sept. 14 (SANA)Israelisettlement plansin the occupiedWest Bankand Jerusalem have intensified since the beginning of 2026, with plans for more than 18,000 settlement units documented, thePalestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commissionsaid Sunday.

The commission said monitoring and documentation from the beginning of 2026 through Sept. 13 showed that 100 settlement plans involving 12,300 units had been considered in the West Bank, while another 53 plans covering 5,783 units were recorded in Occupied Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

In September alone, 12 settlement plans involving 2,340 units were advanced. They included plans involving 749 units aimed at consolidating settlement sites including Amihai/Adi Ad, Ein Yatov and Ma’oz, as well as 464 units intended to regularize the Harasha outpost under the Talmon settlement plan, the commission said.

The plans come amid growing UN, Arab and international condemnation of Israeli settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank, particularly the E1 plan, which seeks to link the Ma’ale Adumim settlement with Occupied Jerusalem and sever geographic continuity between the northern and southern West Bank, undermining the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state.
