Official Statement ••••• Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi begins today, Sunday, a European tour that includes France and Germany, leading a high-level delegation, at the official invitations of the governments of both countries. The Prime Minister’s European tour comes as part of the government’s efforts and approach to developing international relations and opening broader horizons for partnerships with the French and German sides, particularly in the energy, security, and transport sectors, as well as other vital fields. During his European tour, Prime Minister Al-Zaidi will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The meetings will address a range of regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest. The Prime Minister will also head the Iraqi delegation in expanded talks with the French and German sides, during which ways to strengthen economic partnerships in light of the current challenges facing the region and the world will be discussed.
