Israeli occupation forces shell Beit Jinn outskirts in renewed attack
Damascus, Sept. 13 (SANA)Israeli occupation forces fired seven artillery shells at the outskirts ofBeit Jinnin the westernDamascus countrysideon Sunday, in the latest of several attacks on the area over three consecutive days.
The shells struck the Harboun Hill area west of the town, with no casualties immediately reported, a SANA reporter said.
On Saturday, an Israeli artillery shell landed on farmland in the Ain al-Shaara area north of Beit Jinn. Israeli occupation forces also shelled areas around Beit Jinn Farm and Bat al-Warda Hill on Friday.
Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreementthrough repeated incursions into southern Syria, raids on civilian homes, arrests, land-clearing operations and artillery attacks.
Syria has repeatedly demandedIsrael’s full withdrawalfrom its territory, stressing that all measures taken by the occupation are null and void under international law. It has also called on the international community to act to end the Israeli occupation ofsouthern Syria.
