Your Excellency, Mr. Prime Minister >> Your Excellency, Prime Minister I'm happy to meet you again. We know that yesterday at the Ethiopian marked the new year 2019 according to the Ethiopian calendar. And of course, please let me seize this opportunity to congrat- congratulate you and the people of the friendly Ethiopia on this occasion. This meeting takes place on the [clears throat] sidelines of BRICS. We've just made speeches and gave characteristics to our organization. Today, BRICS is a full format strategic partnership aimed at consolidating the positions of global majority and shaping the outlines of just world order. Ethiopia since January the 1st, 2020 for is a full format [clears throat] member of BRICS. And we are happy that it is so. It is of symbolic importance that the beginning of practical practical work of our Ethiopian friends in BRICS mechanism coincided with the beginning of Russian chairmanship in the grouping and since then Ethiopia has been making valuable contribution. Speaking [clears throat] about our bilateral agenda, we have discussed almost everything as you said while we were on our way here. I would like to emphasize that Ethiopia is a long-standing and reliable partner of Russia on the African continent. It is with a pleasure that I state that Russian Ethiopian ties are developing on the principle of mutual benefit and equality. I would like to thank you for your personal contribution, Your Excellency, Prime Minister. We have gained a considerable peace and mutual trade as of 2025 our mutual trade more than tripled and it is still growing. It is a very good and positive indicator. We pay great attention to humanitarian dimension. Over 20,000 of Ethiopian citizens received education in Russia and this is a very good humanitarian prospect of cooperation and of course Russia pays attention to developing good relations with Africa in general and Ethiopia was an active participant of Russia-Africa summit so this year We are looking forward to having you at the third Russia-Africa summit that will take place from October 28th to October 29th and we will hold another bilateral meeting with you and today we have an opportunity to discuss the whole agenda of bilateral issues. I'm happy to meet you. >> Mr. President, as always it's a great honor to have the opportunity to see you. We've been uh discussing so many critical issues. Mr. President, I valued our our time together in Moscow. Since our last meeting things are going so well. Our trade has grown several times. I hope there's big room to grow still. Uh before a month uh Honorable Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, came to Ethiopia. We have sent him back with 7 years uh discount. He was old when he come and he came back younger because we are in 2019. Here he came as 2025 so he came back as more younger Mr. Foreign Affairs to serve you more. Mr. President, things are going very very well since our last meeting. you know, military cooperation, trade exchange, investment, as you have said, scholarship for students, we're very much grateful in all our bilateral relationship, multilateral aspect. Mr. President, without your support, Ethiopia cannot be a member of the BRICS. We are always grateful for that. We know what you have done, and we're grateful. I'm sure one day we'll pay back when the time comes. And thank you very much for for our meeting, Mr. President. >> Thank you.
