Zivildiener des Jahres 2026 – Salzburg
[Music] I am Daniel Perner, I am 19 years old. I come from Ramingstein in the Salzburg region. And I completed my civilian service at the Lebenshilfe workshop in Tamsweg. My tasks in the morning usually involved getting the workshop more or less ready, preparing it for the day. Then I was usually assigned to a group and then I kind of supported the group a little bit. That means during lunch in the morning or during the various tasks that were then carried out , for example industrial work or in the woodworking group, for example, during the various tasks. What I can definitely take away from my time in civilian service is that I learned an enormous amount about dealing with people, not just people with disabilities, but people in general, which I find helps me a great deal in everyday life . How I found out that I was nominated by the workshop for Civilian of the Year. Of course, I was incredibly happy about that. That was a real honor for me personally. I am happy considering that I really, really enjoyed my work here. And the fact that it has received such high praise means an incredible amount to me.
