You have built 20 bridges in this province because the ring road has 17 bridges plus three bridges that we have built. Because after August 16, 2020, when Mr. Luis Abinader became President of the Republic, he automatically placed the southern region on the agenda of projects , starting with Pedernales and ending in San Cristóbal. Today, we celebrate the opening of the new bridge over the Galeón River. It is a four- lane structure, two lanes in each direction, with a total length of 76 meters. Every meter is of great importance to the south. Its comprehensive design anticipated, from the outset, the widening of the main road connecting the south to Greater Santo Domingo. It features gabion walls that protect the riverbed, New Jersey-style retaining walls, a solar lighting system, horizontal and vertical signage, lateral drainage channels, and slope protection. With this new structure, we guarantee access to the National and international markets for agricultural products from the south. That's great because now there won't be accidents, there won't be traffic jams like there used to be. This is great. That's what we wanted because the south is down here . We who transport plantains from the countryside to the city are very happy with this work being done here on the road and the new bridge that has been built. It feels safer to travel south, while also allowing for the continuity of people's daily lives. This project has a huge impact on us, the people who travel this route frequently. In my particular case, it is extremely important, since I travel every day from Asua to my job. The new bridge over the Caleón River is a project that combines prevention, safety, and development. So, Mr. President, thank you very much for your attention, for providing an immediate solution for the construction of this bridge so that traffic will be increasingly fluid and more comfortable for those who travel on the highway.
