Damascus, Sept. 12 (SANA)Civil Defense teams responded to 21 traffic accidents and 81 fires across Syria over the past 24 hours, leaving 20 people injured in road accidents, while no injuries were reported from the fires, the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management said Saturday.The Civil Defensesaid in a statement on its Telegram channel that teams provided first aid to those injured in traffic accidents, transported them to hospitals for treatment and secured the accident sites.The teams also extinguished 81 fires across several provinces, including three fires in agricultural fields and crops. The remaining fires involved homes, commercial establishments, grass, trees, waste and electrical wiring.The Civil Defense said all fires were brought under control and affected sites were cooled, with damage limited to property losses.A person was killed and 19 others injured Wednesday in fires and traffic accidents across several Syrian provinces, according to the Civil Defense.FJ/MZ
