Today, Russia produces 140 ballistic missiles per month. According to NATO standards, 280 ballistic interceptors are needed to shoot down 140 missiles. The ratio is one to two. But you will never get 280 rockets for the "patriots" per month. Even 100 rockets is a huge challenge. But this is what I want: 100-120 interceptors for the tough, cold months ahead. We could get them from the US from existing stocks or directly from production. The US has the political will to help us and sell these interceptors, but the production volumes are not that big yet. This means that there remains an option with available stocks. Will the Americans be ready to provide us with something from the warehouses? I don't know. Let's see. We are also in dialogue with the countries of the Middle East. And a certain package - not very large - from the Europeans is also possible. And with all due respect to the Europeans - they've been very helpful and we appreciate it - they have to share those missiles to help preserve life. From an interview for DW.

Сьогодні Росія виробляє 140 балістичних ракет на місяць. Згідно зі стандартами НАТО, щоб збити 140 ракет треба 280 перехоплювачів балістики. Співвідношення – один до двох. Але ти ніколи не отримаєш 280 ракет для «петріотів» на місяць. Навіть 100 ракет – це величезний виклик. Але це те, що я хочу: мати 100–120 перехоплювачів на важкі, холодні місяці попереду. Ми могли б отримати їх від США з наявних запасів або безпосередньо з виробництва. У США є політична воля допомогти нам і продати ці перехоплювачі, але обсяги виробництва поки що не такі великі. Це означає, що залишається варіант із наявними запасами. Чи будуть американці готові надати нам щось зі складів? Я не знаю. Побачимо. Ми також в діалозі з країнами Близького Сходу. А ще можливий певний пакет – не дуже великий – від європейців. І з усією повагою до європейців – вони дуже допомогли, і ми це цінуємо – вони мають поділитися цими ракетами, щоб допомогти зберігати життя. З інтерв’ю для DW.
