Damascus, Sept. 12 (SANA)Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates discussed future cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), including humanitarian projects, knowledge exchange and support for population needs.

Director of the Ministry’s Department of Expatriates and Refugee Affairs Nahla Othman met Saturday with a UNHCR delegation headed by Aseer Madaien, actingUNHCRRepresentative in Syria, the ministry said.

The two sides reviewed UNHCR projects and mechanisms for exchanging expertise between the Syrian government and the organization in areas related to rebuilding efforts, addressing population needs and developing future cooperation.

The ministry said the meeting will be followed by a workshop and further coordination between the two sides.FJ/HH
