Damascus, Sept. 12 (SANA)Al-Shorta enhanced lead in theSyrian Premier Volleyball Leagueafter beating Wahda 3-0 in the 17th round match held on Friday at the Al-Shorta Sports Hall in Damascus.

The Volleyball Federation said on its Facebook page that al-Jaish secured a straight-set victory over Kansafra at al-Fayhaa Sports Hall in Damascus, while Amouda beat Abu Hamam by the same score. Khan Sheikhoun also claimed a convincing 3-0 win over al-Furat in a match held in Raqqa.

Al-Shortaremained at the top of the standings with 42 points, followed by Khan Sheikhoun with 35 points and al-Jaish with 34 points. Amouda are fourth with 23 points, ahead ofal_Wahdawith 18, Abu Hamam with 17, Salamiyah with 12, Kansafra with 7 and Al-Furat at the bottom with 3 points.kA/MZN
