[music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [ music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music ] Mr. José Antonio Cas. [ovation] Very, very good afternoon. Before I say a few words, I would like to ask one of the greats in Chile, López, to say hello. Thank you, Mr. President. Hello, friend from Concepción, how are you? [ovation] Hey, thank you very much. I'm very proud of what's happening here. This is the fifth time a world championship has landed here. I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who makes this possible, especially to Felipe Horta for the passion he has shown for years. A big round of applause for Felipe Horta, please, who makes this possible together with the COPEC team and the authorities, but I think the local driver who will represent us tomorrow should say a few words. Jorgito Martínez, please, host. A big round of applause for Jorgito Martínez. [ovation] [applause] Well, the truth is that for me it 's really exciting. Fifth time we've been here. Every time I go up this long ramp, seeing all of you makes me incredibly excited. Hey, this rally is for you. Um, I want to extend my thanks, obviously, Felipe has been a star, COPEC for supporting this sport, and obviously the entire government and everyone who made this event possible. This date is for you. It's a gift that a lot of work went into, you know? So, let's have a good time, let's enjoy it, let's take care of ourselves, let's take care of the rally, because if we do , we'll surely have it for many more years, as the governor said. Long live Chile. [applause][ovation] And now I want to ask for a very special round of applause for the Carabineros of Chile. [ovation] Many thanks to our Carabineros because much of what is done here today is thanks to the sacrifice and effort of that great green legion that takes care of us all and will take care of the rally drivers. What unites us here is not politics, it's sports. And I want to ask for a second round of applause for the young people who are there. [applause] Thank you, young people. Next year we have the Olympics where you will participate. I would like everyone to applaud the young people who are there because they are going to arrive in Santiago and that applause will be felt [applause] from Arica Parinacota to Magallanes Chilean Antarctica. I also want to thank the tremendous team that accompanies me, who are our ministers. It's a tremendous team. I am going to ask those who may have a different opinion on politics, that today we are here for a different reason. We stand for sport, we stand for Biobío, we stand for Chile. [applause][ovation] I ask you to raise your flags, to feel proud that this rally is being held in Chile for the fifth time and that three more dates are coming thanks to what the various local authorities have done. And that must be acknowledged by the governor, the mayor, and all the mayors of the region who open the doors of their municipalities and who make sure that this goes well, so that everyone, regardless of any differences, can enjoy a world-class spectacle. That's why we thank them for returning to Chile. They've been here five times already. We hope it will be eight times and that is also thanks to the sponsors because there is a great public private agreement here and if it weren't for the sponsors we might not be here. So for each of the sponsors, for Copec, for Móvil, for all the people who are on these shirts who make this possible, and here again there are no distinctions when it comes to a show like this. So to each and every one of those who have sponsored this event over these 5 years, many, many thanks to our Minister of Sport, thank you for taking on the challenge, being here, and taking a chance on sport. She has already had a tour, she has already experienced part of the excitement of what it means to be our Undersecretary of Tourism. We just launched a campaign, Chileans. We love Chile, we love Chile, we love it and we love it because nearly 400,000 people come to the region here. That's right , that's work, that's entrepreneurship, [clears throat] that's recognition of the sacrifice made by each of the people who live in the region to welcome foreigners and people who come from other regions. The Minister of Defense is also with us here. Thank you, Minister, for being here. We also have the commitment of all our armed forces, and I ask for a big round of applause for our armed forces who give their all for Chile. [applause] For our police officers, thank you very much to the investigative police. Why say it? He already received a lot of applause. Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you so much. But thank you to everyone, to each and every one of you who are here. Yes, tell everyone to be careful because they're going by at high speeds and everyone needs to cooperate to make this the best event, the safest event, and for one of our own to win this great championship. And thank you very much to the members of parliament for being here. May it be a great day, and may we truly enjoy the rally from now until Sunday. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for being here. A big round of applause for His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. José Antonio Cas. We want to thank the authorities; a big round of applause for all of them because they are the ones working to ensure that the Rally Chile Bío Bío remains in the region. Thank you.
