Statement ••••• Next Sunday, September 13, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi, will begin an official visit to the French Republic, at the invitation of the French President, Mr. Emmanuel Macron. This visit comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and France, and discussing ways to expand partnerships in various fields and sectors, most notably energy and security. Next Monday, September 14, Mr. Al-Zaidi will meet with French President Mr. Macron, and they will discuss a number of regional and international files and issues of common interest. The two sides will chair the expanded discussion session that will be conducted by the Iraqi and French delegations, to lay the foundations for concluding new partnerships between Baghdad and Paris, and discuss general frameworks for bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, security, energy, education, and others, in a way that contributes to confronting various regional and international challenges.
