Syria plans Travel Forum 2026 to reconnect tourism sector with global markets
Damascus, Sept. 11 (SANA)Syria is preparing to host an international travel and tourism forum in Damascus later this month, aimed at attracting investors and industry professionals and rebuilding the country’s tourism links with regional and global markets.
TheSyria Travel Forum 2026is scheduled to run from Sept. 28 to 30, bringing together investors, hotel groups, airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, tourism developers and other industry stakeholders from Syria and abroad, the Tourism Ministry said.
Tourism MinisterMazen al-Salhanisaid the forum is part of a broader effort to reconnect Syria’s tourism industry with international markets and create partnerships that can support sustainable growth in the sector.
The event will focus on investment opportunities in hospitality, Syria’s cultural tourism potential and expanding international partnerships across the travel and tourism industries.
Organizers also hope the forum will provide international companies and investors with an opportunity to explore the Syrian tourism market, meet local industry representatives and assess potential investment projects.
The ministry said the forum is being organized in cooperation with Mangosteen Exhibition and Conference Organization and SO Media. Registration has opened online, with participants able to obtain entry badges electronically ahead of the event.
