Tartous, Sept. 11 (SANA)Health officials in Syria’s coastal province of Tartous met aWorld Health Organizationdelegation to assess the sector’s most pressing needs and identify areas for further support.Tartous Health Director Alaa al-Barhoum held talks with the delegation, led by WHO Representative in SyriaCaroline Clarinval, focusing on shortages of medical equipment, essential supplies and other resources, as well as ways to improve healthcare services and access.The two sides also reviewed development plans and discussed priority areas where WHO could provide support based on needs and available resources.Following the talks, the WHO delegation visitedTartous National Hospital, touring several departments and assessing services and equipment. It also met hospital administrators and medical staff to discuss operational challenges and identify priorities for improving the facility’s readiness and maintaining services.The visit was part of ongoing cooperation between WHO andhealth authorities in Tartousto strengthen healthcare services in the province.
